Thursday June 14, 2012: After work session @ Pottersville

Kippy (Adkbouldering.blogspot.com) and I met up this past Thursday for a quick after work session at Hogwart's in Pottersville NY.  I haven't been to the area since April 3rd and was itching to get back to see some of the new lines that he has been revealing on his blog.

As always with Hogwart's there is never any disappointment.  Kippy and I had a stellar session, just getting to see him boulder again is enough to get any climber psyched.  I was even burnt off on a new boulder problem by the Adk legend!  Good on ya Kippy.  Looking forward to getting back in the next few weeks.

On a side note...I have been creating video archive pages for some of the local areas.  I figured it would be a good way to organize some of my youtube videos.  Check out the pages if you get a chance and let me know what you think.  Thanks!

  3. Kyle, thanks for filling everyone in on what should make for an excellent bouldering session! We have a crew going into the deep woods of Caroga Lake tomorrow to work on some sick/cutting edge routes...definately have to link up for some bouldering sessions once it cools off a bit. Have fun up north buddy!

  4. Hey, I'm a climber who just got back from college in Vt. Went to pinnacle and nine corner today, but have yet to run into any climbers. How often do you hit those spots?

  5. Hey, sorry it took me awhile to respond. We are usually at Nine Corners a few times a month but most of the local crew has switched focus from bouldering to rope climbing recently as a result of the warm/humid conditions. We do however sneak in some bouldering sessions on random weeknights if the conditions are right. Looking forward to running into you! Keep crushing it...

  6. you guys have top rope gear? I just picked up a new harness but I don't have my own rope or anchor gear. Dying to try it out. If you need another belayer I would be glad to oblige for a few climbs :P

  7. tons of rope climbing gear collectively in the crew...we are currently working on some new cutting edge routes deep in the Adirondacks. Some trad, some sport and some mixed. There are some nice cliffs closer to Nine Corners as well that I could show you sometime.

  8. That would be awesome. I've done Stewart's ledges, but I hear great things about Good Luck cliff, and that lost hunters route looks killer. You can get in touch with me on facebook under Garecht Brunner if you have a free day to climb.
